AILEEN CLEMENTE

Through the years, Aileen C. Clemente has held various positions in several travel industry associations and organizations. Currently, she serves as the President of the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA) from 2015 to present, Executive Vice President of the Tourism Congress of the Philippines (TCP) from 2014 to 2015, and interim President of Federation of Tourism Industries of the Philippines (FTIP).
 
Aileen is the President and Chairman of Rajah Travel Corporationand has been part of the company since 2000. She is responsible for the overall operations of all its offices in Manila (HeadOffice), in Makati, and its other implant offices,  expanding it to a 250 employee plus company.
In previous years, she also served as President of the Philippine Travel AgenciesAssociation from 2011-2012, as Chairman of the IATA Agency Programme Joint Council (APJC) in 2013, and as Philippine IATA Agents Travel Association (PIATA) President from 2004 – 2005, among others.

Active in the Philippine tourism industry, Aileen  has participated in a variety of forums, seminars and working groups as a guest speaker, panelist and resource person in both local and international activities. She spoke before the Joint Foreign Chambers of the Philippines’ Arangkada Philippines Forum, different projects of the Department of Tourism, Web In Travel, and The Asset Magazine Philippine Forum.
 
Working closely as an advocate and resource person with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) COMPETE Project, under her leadership, she initiated the advocacy of Rajah Travel Corporation to finding lost pieces of history and promoting responsible tourism.
 
Aileen  is also very involved with the USAID COMPETE project which aims to advance Philippine competitiveness in key business sectors, tourism included. Through the USAID COMPETE Project, Aileen enlisted Rajah Travel to become more involved in the project and assisted in organizing the Palawan Liberation Task Force.
 
This task force is composed of: USAID, the Philippine Department of Tourism, the Province of Palawan, the Palawan Tourism Council, City Government of Puerto Princesa, Palawan Chamber of Commerce, and Filipino – American Memorial Endowment, and Rajah Travel. Aileen's main goal is for this event to ignite the Palawan group of islands' goal of promoting heritage tourism.
 
Rajah Travel has put all of its efforts for this advocacy -with faith and belief in its significance for the rest of world to share in the invaluable history and beauty of the islands, mostly to inspire and educate all Filipino citizens, so that they may know, remember, and give honor.
